THE RELATIONSHIPS THAT SHAPE US Let's name a few of them. Because they all live inside you — whether you're aware of them or not. The relationship with your mother. The triggers that belong to old wounds. The patterns that repeat because they were never interrupted. Arguments that feel like they're about the dishes — rarely are. The need to be right, to be validated, to be chosen again and again —on the outside- these are not relationship problems. They are self-worth problems wearing relationship attire. And the most loving thing you can do for your partnership is not to fix your partner. It is to get deeply, honestly acquainted with yourself. What is your attachment style? How do you fight? What do you need but have never asked for? What are you giving that you secretly resent? These are not small questions. They are the questions that — answered honestly, over time — transform not just how you love, who you love, why you love BUT ALSO how you allow yourself to be loved. The relationship with your ambition. This one doesn't get talked about enough. The high-achieving woman often has a complicated relationship with her own drive. She wants to succeed — and feels guilty for how much she wants it. She works hard — and wonders if she's neglecting something she should be prioritising instead. She achieves — and immediately moves the goalposts before she's allowed herself to feel it. Sound familiar? This is the relationship between your outer hustle and your inner world. And when they are not in conversation — when you are building outward without checking inward — the gap between what you have and what you feel gets wider.
